山南向阳，谓之南阳。

Because the south of the mountain faces the sun, this place is called Nanyang.

南阳，位于河南省西南部，襟三山而带群湖，枕伏牛而蹬汉江，两山五水、一库一渠汇聚于此，勾勒出生态南阳的魅力底色。

Located in the southwest of Henan Province, Nanyang is surrounded on three sides by the Qinling Mountains, Funiu Mountain and Tongbai Mountain, and depends on the three major river systems of the Yangtze River, Huaihe River and Yellow River. Two mountains and five rivers, one reservoir and one canal converge here to outline the charm of ecological Nanyang.

南阳地处南北气候过渡带，充沛的降水、适宜的气候、独特的地质构造和复杂的地形地貌赋予这片土地勃勃生机。3200多种高等植物在此落地生根，213种鸟类在此安家落户，62种兽类、45种两栖类动物在此繁衍生息，共同建构起南阳这座珍贵的物种基因宝库。

Nanyang is located in the transitional zone of north and south climate, so abundant precipitation, suitable climate, unique geological structure and complex landform endow this land with vitality. Here, more than 3200 kinds of higher plants have taken root, 213 kinds of birds have settled down, 62 kinds of mammals and 45 kinds of amphibians have multiplied, and they have jointly constructed the precious gene treasure house of Nanyang species.

【宝天曼：森林】

[BEOTIANMAN: Forest]

随着清晨第一缕阳光照进宝天曼，新的一天开始了。

As the first ray of sunshine shines into Beotianman in the morning,a new day begins.

一颗坚果从枝头落下，唤醒了沉睡中的隐纹花松鼠。它在树林间穿梭，捡拾来自森林的馈赠。小松鼠用尖利的牙齿褪去坚果的外壳，壳破果出，小家伙抱着白胖胖的果仁大快朵颐。

A nut falls from the branch, awakening the sleeping tamiops swinhoei. They shuttle through the forest to pick up gifts from the forest. The little squirrel removes the shell of the nut with its sharp teeth, and when the shell breaks and the nut comes out, the little squirrel eats the white plump nut.

小吃货猪獾也想饱餐一顿。它摇晃着胖乎乎的身体，用长而突出的鼻子拱起落叶、尘土，搜寻埋藏其下的珍馐美味。

The lovely arctonyx collaris also wants to have a big meal. It shakes its plump body and arches the fallen leaves and dust with its long and prominent nose to search for the delicacies buried under it.

伴随着猪獾的翻动，掉落的树叶被盖上一层厚厚的土地被。在温暖的土壤里，它们进入甜甜的梦乡，等待下一轮生长。

With the overturning of arctonyx collaris, the fallen leaves are covered with a thick layer of soil. In the warm soil, they enter a sweet dream, waiting for the next round of growth.

同样期待新生的还有红嘴蓝鹊。春暖花开，万物复苏，红嘴蓝鹊妈妈兢兢业业地卧在窝里，生怕错过孩子们破壳而出的珍贵瞬间。

Urocissa erythrorhynch is also looking forward to a new life. In the warm spring when everything recovers, urocissa erythrorhynch lies in the nest responsibly for fear of missing the precious moment when its children break their shells.

相比之下，邻居普通䴓夫妇忙碌了不少。在离地20多米高的树洞婴儿房里，毛茸茸的普通䴓宝宝已经张开小嘴，唧唧喳喳，等待父母的投喂。外出、捉虫、喂食循环往复，占据了鸟爸鸟妈大部分的时间，它们却也乐此不疲。

In contrast, its neighbors sitta europaeas, have been busy. In the tree hole nursery more than 20 meters above the ground, the fluffy sitta europaea babies have opened their mouths and chirped, waiting for their parents to feed them. Sitta europaeas, as parents, spend most of their time going out, catching insects and feeding in a circle, but they do so willingly and happily.

作为中原地带保存最为完好的森林和野生动物类型自然保护区，宝天曼保留了这片土地最原始的面貌，新生和延续无数次在宝天曼上演，为古老的土地注入无尽的活力。

As the only nature reserve with well-preserved forests and wild animals in the Central Plains, Beotianman preserves the most original appearance of this land. The birth of life and the continuation of species have been performed countless times in Beotianman, injecting infinite vitality into the ancient land.

【丹江湿地】

[Danjiang Wetland]

新生的小鸟羽翼待丰，成年的候鸟已经跨越寒冬，缓缓飞来。

The newly born birds have not yet grown all their wings, and the adult migratory birds have come slowly across the cold winter.

丹江湿地国家级自然保护区内，成群的鸬鹚正低着头梳理毛发，用温暖的丹江水洗去迁徙路上的寒意。

In the Danjiang Wetland National Nature Reserve, flocks of cormorants are quietly combing their hair with their heads down, washing away the chill on the migration road with warm Danjiang water.

同样远道而来的苍鹭已经吃起了“自助餐”，曲颈、瞄准、出击一气呵成，三两下就把肥美的小鱼吃进了肚里。旁边的白鹭也跃跃欲试，却以失败告终。苍鹭热情地做起了技术指导，曲颈、瞄准、出击，白鹭有样学样，一转头就把一条大鱼叼进了嘴里。

The heron who also came from afar has already eaten the "buffet", bending its neck, aiming, and attacking in one go, the plump little fish became its meal.A nearby egret tried, but failed.The egret enthusiastically gave a technical guidance, the egret followed and took a big fish into its mouth as soon as it turned its head.

丹江湿地是南水北调途中的重要生态屏障。近年来，通过一系列的生态保护与修复工作中，丹江湿地生态环境质量持续提升，成为两百多种鸟类的栖息地。

Danjiang Wetland is an important ecological barrier on the way of South-to-North Water Diversion. The ecological quality has been continuously improved and Danjiang Wetland has become a habitat for more than 200 kinds of birds after a series of ecological protection and restoration work in recent years.

2021年，“河南丹江南水北调中线水源地保护与修复”案例更是从全球 26个国家的258个申报案例中脱颖而出，成功入选 “生物多样性100+全球典型案例”名单，为生物多样性保护提供中国经验。

In 2021, the case of "Henan Danjiang South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Water Source Protection and Restoration" will stand out from 258 declared cases in 26 countries around the world, and be successfully selected into the list of "100+global typical cases of biodiversity", providing China's experience in biodiversity conservation.
