Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) launched the Lancer Evolution VIII sports sedan in Japan. Features included a high-performance 2-litre turbocharged engine, a 6-speed close-ratio gearbox and MMC’s all-wheel traction control system.

2003年1月31日，三菱汽车公司（MMC）在日本推出了第八代Lancer Evolution运动型轿车。该车型搭载了包括高性能2升排量的涡轮增压发动机、6速密齿比变速箱和三菱汽车的全轮牵引力控制系统等配置。
