耐用和便宜，各写一段。
双边讨论之后，需要给出自己的观点。这个观点如何：耐用和便宜都很重要。
这个观点显然不好，相当于作者没有观点，因为耐用和便宜很重要，这是题目中已经给出的观点，不是作者的观点。
老雅已经多次提出过，这类双边讨论之后，作者有两种策略提出自己的观点：（1）明确某一个观点比另外一个观点更为重要；（2）提出双方观点合理的适用条件，即在什么条件下这些观点是合理的。
按照这样的思路，我们可以用以下两种方式的任何一种来提出自己的观点：
耐用比便宜更重要。便宜的产品可能从短期看节约了钱，但从长远看，其实可能让我们花更多钱，因为我们很快得重新购买。【这个不难论证】
很难说哪个更重要。对于那些我们需要长期使用不经常更换的产品而言，耐用性更重要（比如房子、汽车、电视等），对于那些日用消费品（consumer goods）来说，价格便宜显得更为重要，因为这些产品是否耐用does not make much sense.

Many people think products should be made more durable, while others argue it is more important to make products cheap. In my opinion, both durability and affordability are important, though for different reasons.
There is hardly anybody who does not like products that last long. In fact, durable products are always more popular with consumers. Anyone would be extremely annoyed if he bought a car today, only to find that he had to bring it to the repair shop the next day.
Yet the problem is durable products are always more expensive, too. That is why there are often products available to consumers that may not be as endurable but less costly. These alternative products appeal to a great number of consumers, especially those price-sensitive ones.
On the whole, I believe we should consider a product’s durability before its price. A cheaper product may be more expensive in the long run. A 500-dollar sofa that lasts only 3 years is actually more expensive than a 800-dollar sofa that lasts 6 years.
That said, I still find it hard to say durability is always more important than affordability, or vice versa. I believe their relative importance depends on the different uses of products. Such products as houses, cars, and TV sets should be made to endure as long as possible, even if they may be more expensive, since we have a lot at stake in these products such as safety, comfort, and even happiness. Other products like cigarettes, drinks, and clothes do not have to last that long, so they should be made the cheapest possible to attract their potential buyers.
