You have to trust In something -your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference In my life.

And much of what l stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on.

Stay hungry, stay foolish.

When you're a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you're not going to use a picec of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will ever see it. You'll know it's there, so you're going to use a beautiful picec of wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through.

We're just enthusiastic about what we do.

If you want to live your life In a creative way, as an artist, you have to not look back too much. You have to be willing to take whatever you've done and whoever you were and throw them away.

We attract a different type of person-a person who doesn't want to wait five or ten years to have someone take a giant risk on him or her. Someone who really wants to get In a little over his head and make a little dent In the universe.

I saw a lot of people contemplating things but it didn't seem to lead to too many places. I got very interested In people who had discovered something more significant than an intellectual, abstract understanding.

We're here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here?

I'm convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance...

Unless you have a lot of passion about this, you're not going to survive. You're going to give it up. So you've got to have an idea, or a problem or a wrong that you want to right, that you're passionate about; otherwise, you're not going to have the perseverance to stick it through.

Once you get into the problem...you see that it's complicated, and you come up with all these convoluted solutions. That's where most people stop, and the solutions tend to work for a while. But the really great person will keep going, find the underlying problem, and come up with an elegant solution that works on every level.

Simple can be harder than complex:You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.
