本课分析:本课是一节听说课。1a先通过图片谈论各种污染及造成各种污染的因素。1b和1c通过听和说来学习和谈论水污染。
本课时的图片素材有很强的视觉冲击力;听力材料,对于水污染和空气污染来说,有很强的代表性。本课内容能够很好地激发学生保护地球的意识和强烈的社会责任感。本课的关键是,教师在教授过程中让学生清楚污染的类型,原因,及解决办法,引导学生思考与探索。
学情分析:九年级学生对环境污染已经比较了解,概括能力和推理能力也有很大的提高,环保意识和社会责任感更加强烈。因此,学生对本课的内容兴趣浓厚,参与积极。另一方面,由于学生的社会经验相对缺乏,对于怎样全方位解决环境污染问题,他们需要通过讨论活动,把语言学习和实际交流结合起来,从而形成相对完整和相对全面的认识。
教学目标:
1学生能听懂什么是水污染,土地污染,和空气污染,引起这三种污染的因素,以及解决污染的措施。
2学生能模仿听力原文,能运用听力材料中的知识,口头谈论噪声污染,空气污染,水污染,土地污染的产生因素及如何减少这些污染。
3学生能根据信息正确运用本课词汇:litter,bottom, fisherman .
4学生能运用现在进行时表达环境污染的现状,能运用used to 结构表达过去的情况,能运用情态动词表达应该采取的措施。
教学重难点:
1描述环境污染和环境保护的常用表达方法。
2正确运用现在进行时,情态动词和used to 句型。
教学过程设计:
Step1 Lead-in(导入)
1 Ask the students to enjoy a video named 《Earth Song》 .
2 After watching the video, ask the students about the question:
What did you see from the video? After that, the teachers will say: The earth is badly polluted. We should try our best to save the earth .This class, we’ll learn Unit13 We’re trying to save the earth! Section A (1a—1c).
(设计意图:通过视频《地球之歌》,震撼学生的心灵,帮助学生了解环境污染及生态破坏的种种现象,使他们意识到环境保护的危机感与紧迫感,自然导出本课话题。)
Step2 Presentation(新知呈现)
1 Show four pictures, teach the new words :litter ,bottom, fisherman (fishermen).
(设计意图:出示这四幅图是为了更形象的学习新单词。)
2 Let students think of kinds of pollution by showing four pictures.
(设计意图:让学生清楚生活中常见的污染类型)
3 Discuss in pairs. Let students discuss the four pictures in pairs. Before discussing them ,the teacher will introduce something about the four pictures.
(设计意图:增加学生的词汇量,如chimney ,a rubbish dump 等)
Then do 1a.Ask three students to read their answers to each column and let the whole class check their answers.
4 Discuss in groups .Tell students: There are some kinds of pollution. What are the causes of pollution ?
Give them several minutes to discuss the causes. Then ask some students to share their opinions.
Next show four pictures about pollution .
(设计意图:进一步展示生活中关于污染的图片,让学生直观的看到什么引起了污染。)
5 Co –operate .Tell students: just we talked about the kinds of pollution and the causes of pollution ,then talk about the solutions .What should we do to save the earth?
After discussing the solutions, ask some students to share their opinions, then show some pictures ,tell students in our daily life ,as teenagers ,we can do many things to save the earth.
(设计意图:在学生对环境污染及原因有了初步的了解,认识之后,接着自然的引入怎样解决这些问题。合作与探究培养学生的团队意识。)
Step3 Practice in pairs.
let students talk about the two pictures. Ask some students to act out their dialogue.( 设计意图:整合教材1c,同时为听力1b训练做准备。)
Step4 Listen .1b.
Listen and complete the sentences. After listening once ,ask several students to give the answers to the first paragraph , then check the answers ,next read together.
Listen again . After listening ,ask several students to give the answers about the second and third paragraphs , then check the answers ,next read together.
( 设计意图:听读练习是为了后面关于拯救地球的演讲做充分的准备。)
Step5 Report.
As we all know ,the earth is badly polluted ,everyone should play a part in loving and saving it. Ask students :What do you want to say about saving the earth ? Give them several minutes to discuss it ,then they can choose one or two students in their group to share their ideas.
( 设计意图:拔高学生运用语言的能力,让学生有机会运用目标语言来表达自己的感情。提高学生综合运用语言的能力。)
Step6 Summarize:
W e only have one earth . For you and for me ,let’s play a part in loving and saving it. Ask students to relax by watching a video 《Heal the world 》.
( 设计意图:通过视频《拯救世界》,再次震撼学生的心灵。歌曲中For you and for me,we should try our best to save our earth.再次表达了拯救地球的必要性与紧迫感。
Step7 Homework.
1.Do some exercises on the paper.
2 Make a poster!
Save the earth.
The earth is badly polluted. Please make a poster and think of what we can do.
