这周在备课的间隙，终于看完了《黑暗荣耀》第2季，快马加鞭写好了分集介绍的解析，给大家讲一讲！
我在Netflix官网上还惊喜地发现，这部剧不仅有英文字幕，甚至还有英文配音，没想到现在通过韩剧都能学英语了，简直是英语爱好者和韩剧爱好者的福音。
比如剧中有一句非常经典的台词：我要是想救禽兽，我就去当兽医了。我要是想救恶魔，我就去当牧师了。我只救人类。
英文版这样翻译的：
1）apply to sb / sth 指「适用于...」。
2）oath 为可数名词，指 「誓言」。
3）inhuman [ɪnˈhjuː.mən] 为形容词，指「残暴的，无同情心的」(lacking the qualities of kindness and pity; very cruel)。
这里形容词短语as inhuman as you 为形容词短语作后置定语，修饰something， 指「像你一样没有人性的东西」。
外界对明悟有诸多臆测，东恩给妍珍坦白往事的机会，尹素禧死亡的内幕曝光。
arise 为动词，指「出现，发生」(if a problem or difficult situation arises, it begins to happen)。
再比如《经济学人》一篇关于日本老龄化的文章有这样一句话：
Longevity is not itself a problem—it should be celebrated. The problems arise when people live long but unhealthy, lonely, or dependent lives. 长寿本身不是问题——它应该被庆祝。但当人们长寿，生活却不健康、孤独或依赖他人时，问题就出现了。
sth is not itself a problem. The problems arise when... ...本身不是问题。但当...时，问题就出现了。
这个句型大家可以积累下来，用于引出某事物的弊端。
我们联系社交媒体话题造个句：
Social media is not itself a problem. The problems arise when people start using it as a tool to spread hate speech and misinformation.
我们再联系人工智能话题造个句：
Automation is not itself a problem. The problems arise when it leads to job displacement and income inequality.
我们再来看一个美剧《绝望的主妇》里的例子：
You should have just come clean.
circumstances这里是个熟词僻义，指事件发生的「情形，详情，原委」(The circumstances of an event are the way it happened or the causes of it)。
这里the circumstances of Yoon So-hee's death便指「尹素禧之死的原委」。
再举个例子：I'm making inquiries about the circumstances of Mary Dean's murder. 我在调查玛丽·迪安谋杀案的详情。
妍珍发现大婶与文东恩的关系，对大婶威逼利诱。周汝正设法从妍珍口中套出真相。
involvement 指「牵连，参与」(Your involvement in something is the fact that you are taking part in it)，来自于动词involve。
devise [dɪˈvaɪz] 为动词，指「设计，发明，想出」(to invent sth new or a new way of doing sth)。devise a way to do sth 指「想出办法做某事」。
比如《经济学人》一篇关于近视的文章有这样一句话：
Video-game makers must release fewer new products and devise ways of limiting the time children spend playing them.
电子游戏制造商必须减少新产品的发布，并设计出方法限制儿童玩游戏的时长。
惠廷在明悟的平板电脑上找到足以作为犯罪证据的录音。大婶准备送女儿出国，不速之客偏偏在此时现身。
近义词还有implicate, involve, inculpate等。
incriminating 为形容词形式，指「暗示有罪的...」。比如：incriminating evidence 显示有罪的证据
而这里incriminating recording 便指能证明凶手有罪的录音。
tablet和pad是一个意思，这里指iPad。
东恩寄给全在俊一个会兴风作浪的包裹，也安排好如何扳倒妍珍和李沙拉。复仇大计的终局俨然成型。
come into focus 指「成为焦点」(if something comes into focus, people start to talk about it and pay attention to it)。
troubling 为形容词，指「令人担心的」，相当于worrying。
orchestra 为名词，本来是指大型的「管弦乐队」。
《经济学人》一篇关于双减政策的文章曾提到中韩两国都曾取缔校外补课：
The governments in both countries have tried to orchestrate a kind of collective disarmament.
两国政府均已做出尝试，开展某种形式的集体教育裁军。
