武汉芝华商业数据分析有限公司是中国著名的农业产业咨询公司，芝华数据CEO黄劲文表示：“目前的在产蛋鸡存栏比以前有所下降。” 大连商品交易所的鸡蛋期货也在不到两周内飙升近10％，周二收盘价为4,688元/吨，创下自2014年11月以来的新高。

黄劲文表示，距离9月的中秋节已经不远，作为中秋节的传统食品，月饼的加工原料包括大量的鸡蛋。食品加工企业逐渐启动备货，购买量逐步增加，进一步推动了鸡蛋价格的上涨。

除了鸡蛋，作为替代品的鸡肉的价格也不断上涨，当地的肉鸡养殖企业效益不断增加。山东益生种畜禽股份有限公司表示，由于鸡肉价格上涨，其利润将飙升近2,700％。在年度报告中，山东益生表示，非洲猪瘟引发了消费端对鸡肉的替代需求，促进了消费和价格上涨，鸡肉销售占到了去年公司销售总额的91％。

(Bloomberg) -- Higher demand for poultry in China after the spreadof African swine fever cut supplies of pork has created another problem --shortages of eggs, which have sent prices to the highest level in more thanfour years.

“There are not as many hens as before to lay eggs,” said JimHuang, chief executive officer of China-data.com.cn, an adviser to theagriculture industry. Futures in Dalian have soared almost 10% in less than twoweeks and closed at 4,688 yuan a ton on Tuesday, the highest since November2014.

Egg prices are also getting support from increased buying by foodcompanies to make moon cakes and egg tarts -- popular treats served during themid-autumn festival that falls in the second week of September, said Huang.

Stronger chicken meat prices have been helping local companies.Shandong Yisheng Livestock & Poultry Breeding Co. said its profit will soaralmost 2,700%, thanks to higher prices. In its annual report, Yisheng said thehog disease had triggered substitute demand for chicken, boosting consumptionand prices. Chicken accounted for 91% of the company’s sales last year.
