开言到今年已经迈入了第十年！大家的支持和喜爱是我们能走到今天的支柱，而Jenny也即将迈入40。今天的节目，听她分享进入中年的各种感受吧。

Jenny is turning 40: Jenny马上要40岁了

Officially entering middle age: 正式进入中年

Midlife: 中年

“中年”既可以用middle age，也可以用midlife，但英文里的“中年危机”，会用到midlife

Midlife crisis: 中年危机

Going through a midlife crisis: 经历中年危机

Many people are going through a crisis at 30: 很多人也在经历30危机

Life stages/stages of life: 人生阶段

40不惑

Not to be confused: 不迷惑、不困惑

Not to be tempted: 不被诱惑

Confucius: 孔子

Confucius said, "At 40, one begins to not be confused or tempted." 或 "At 40, one's confusion or temptation melts away." 孔子说，40不惑

英语还有个说法

Life begins at 40: 人生40岁才开始

There are a lot of responsibilities and sources of stress at 40: 40岁有很多责任和压力

The sandwich generation: “三明治一代”，也就是上有老、下有小，像三明治的结构，被夹在中间

Career stress: 事业压力

Afraid of being overtaken/surpassed/replaced by the younger generation: 长江后浪推前浪，担心被年轻一代追上、取代

Self: 自己、个人

Life has passed the half-way mark, what have I done/achieved/accomplished? 人生过半，我做了什么？有什么成就？

Does my life really have any meaning? 我的人生有何意义？

Life forces you to ask yourself these soul-searching questions: 人生逼着你对自己提出这些灵魂拷问

40岁，人生才刚开始

Jenny说自己其实30岁的时候更加彷徨、迷茫

I was more anxious when I was 30: 我30岁的时候更焦虑

So I can really empathize with those who are feeling the 30 crisis: 所以特别能体会30危机的朋友

I lost my job at 30 during team restructuring: 我30岁时因为团队重组失业了

(Jenny当时在一家线上教外国人中文的公司工作，以音频课程形式教学，和开言很像）

Felt very uncertain about my future: 对未来很不安、很迷惘

Jenny说找到未来方向的关键是花时间认真思考自己最热爱、最愿意为之付出、最有经验的是什么？答案是中英文语言和文化的交流、教学。所以，在家人的鼓励下开始创业，也就有了开言❤️

坦然面对中年

unfazed by something: 不惧怕、不惊恐

unfazed by turning 40: 坦然面对40岁

You can't turn back time. Might as well face it head on：不能让时间倒流，那就坦然面对吧

Very grateful for God's guidance: 作为基督徒，Jenny感恩神的带领

So grateful for my team, coworkers and most of all, the users for making the past 10 years so fruitful:  感恩我的团队同事们，还有最重要的是，那么支持我们的用户们。谢谢你们让我过去10年的人生硕果累累！
