王学仲，1925年生于山东省滕州市。1942年，王学仲入北京京华美术学院国画系学习，后在中央美术学院受业于当代绘画大师徐悲鸿等先生。王学仲生前为中国文联荣誉委员、中国书协顾问、天津文史研究馆名誉馆员、九三学社成员、天津市文联主席团成员、天津书法家协会名誉主席、天津大学教授，王学仲艺术研究所名誉所长。王学仲书法功底深厚，善行草书，绘画以山水为主。2006年，在我国当代书法界的最高奖———第二届中国书法兰亭奖评审上，王学仲以高票获得第二届中国书法兰亭奖终身成就奖。王学仲长期深入地继承了中国画的优良传统，借鉴了西洋画的有益东西，自觉地将诗、书、画熔为一炉，大胆革新，成功地开创了中国新文人画派，是一个历史性的贡献。Wang Xuezhong was born in Tengzhou, Shandong Province, in 1925. 1942, Wang Xuezhong into the Chinese painting Department of Beijing Jinghua Academy of Fine Arts, and then bred in the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Xu Beihong, a master of contemporary painting.
