在众多西方国家，十月的尾声总会激荡起一阵诡异而又热烈的节日气氛，那就是传说中神秘莫测的万圣节。

万圣节究竟是哪一天？

Date of Halloween：10月31日 万圣节前夜

Date of All Saints’Day：11月1日 万圣节

万圣节All Saints’Day，又名All Hallows’Day，原本为一个肃穆而圣洁的宗教节日。亚洲人会把“万圣夜”误称为“万圣节”。

Day of Saints

两千多年前，欧洲基督教会把11月1日定为“天下圣徒之日”，其实为一个充满宗教意味的神圣节日，体现了在基督教徒心中，人和神之间的一种关联。

All Saints’Dayis a religious day，presenting a holy connection between human and divinity.

Return of Death

那时的人坚信，已逝的亡灵会在这一天回归故土，在活人身上寻找灵魂，借此获得重生。活人惧怕死人灵魂来夺生，就把自己装扮成成妖魔鬼怪的样子，好把死人的灵魂都吓跑。

随着世事变迁，万圣节似乎已然背离了神圣的主旨，也不在带有迷信的意味，褪去所有的枷锁，成为一场孩子与成年人都津津乐道的狂欢派对。

Now Halloween and All Saints’Day have become a big party and festivity of joy for no superstitious reason.

Trick or Treat

“不给糖，就捣蛋”

孩子们在万圣节喜爱的事情，就是穿着各色各样奇装异服，挨家挨户索要糖果。主人开门后，孩子们会不停地说“trick or treat”，意思是“我们捣蛋，还是，你们款待”。

It is the most important part of day for kids to ask for candy from door to door and make funof their neighbors.

Halloween Costume

万圣节的服饰，一应俱全。家长会协助孩子装扮成他们喜爱的卡通形象。最简单的鬼服，就是将一张白床单顶在头上，再抠两个洞洞，漏出眼睛即可。

Halloween is time for costume and children will dress up as their favorite roles in different animations.

Pumpkin Lantern

虽然南瓜灯的来历众说纷纭，但是不得不承认南瓜灯始终是万圣节的标志性元素，总能恰如其分地烘托出整个节日的气氛，也让原本神秘莫测的万圣节变得有些浪漫可爱。

Cultural Heritage

在这一夜，孩子们就像是各式各样顽皮的的精灵，让整个节日荡漾着童真的乐趣。大人们也会烘托着节日的气氛，举办成人间的Cosplay Party，相聚在一起喝酒、聊天、舞蹈。相伴着孩子的玩闹，大人们也仿佛找回了童年的记忆，这就是文化的传承。

It is hilarious for both young and old to spend this special night together with friends and families.
